• Meet Riot.

  Riot was never very good at standing still.

  And he's perfectly okay with that.

  When excitement starts building inside him, Riot can feel it everywhere.

  His legs want to run.

  His feet want to stomp.

  His arms want to move.

  His whole body seems to say:

  GO.

  So Riot moves.

  Sometimes it's a sprint down the sidewalk toward the next glowing porch.

  Sometimes it's a giant jump over a crack in the pavement.

  Sometimes it's pushing, climbing, bouncing, or taking a few extra laps around the yard.

  Riot is The Motion Maker of the Blue Crew.

  Movement isn't something Riot has to get out of the way before he can participate.

  Movement helps him participate.

  Every jump, stomp and heavy landing gives his body the input it's looking for. Moving helps Riot understand where his body is, organize all that building energy, and feel more comfortable in his own skin.

  But Riot has learned something else about himself too.

  After the BIG movement, sometimes he needs something small.

  That's when he reaches for the smooth blue moonstone he keeps with him.

  Riot slowly rubs his thumb across its cool, curved surface.

  Again.

  And again.

  The moonstone isn't there to make him stop moving.

  It helps him notice when his body is ready to slow down.

  The steady feeling beneath his thumb gives his hands something quiet to do while the rest of his body catches up.

  Because Riot doesn't need someone to turn his energy off.

  He just needs to understand where to send it.
